About the JobJob roleThe incumbent has primary responsibility for operational and strategic aspects related to domain names and websites which are part of client’s e-business strategy. This specifically relates to the Client Domain Name Registrar (CDNR) and Client Website Registration and Certification (CWRC) functions.Critical components of this role include – driving strategy as it pertains to domain names, authoring and creating governance and also driving expense down. The role reports to senior management.The following functions will report into this role:1) The CDNR team is responsible for managing Clients internet domain names on a global basis in conjunction with providing a request and approval process internally. Further to this the incumbent will be responsible for the overall maintenance and renewal processes.2) The CWRC team is responsible for facilitating the registration and certification of Client’s intranet and internet websites on a global basis. Certification of websites includes a predefined approval and periodic re-approval process.The job also entails regular interaction with a global client base which may require flexible working hours at times.Key Responsibilities· Be an expert on the process related to CDNR, CWRC and the Website Standards· Manage business and customer relationships as well as co-ordinate the alignment of Client TI and business goals.· Ensure compliance to company’s policies and procedures, reviewing processes and interpreting requirements to manage day-to-day operations.· Manage internal and external vendor relationships in-line with company policy.· Identify industry and corporate best practices and integrate these into the organization.· Identify and co-ordinate the integration of projects and other strategic initiatives.· Regularly monitor performance improvement and compliance in line with corporate policy.· Develop processes, methodologies and best practice to create value for company.· Overall ownership of the CDNR and CWRC functions.· Ownership of CWRC and CDNR tools sets with responsibilities for driving automation, enhancements in conjunction with relevant development groups.· Drive innovation, automation and efficiencies to enhance customer’s experience.· Liaise with various technical resources for co-ordination of projects and or other related activities· Coordination of problem/incident management activities involving key stakeholders.Present customer training through Web Conferencing sessions.REQUIREMENTS· Fluency in English is a must.· 5+ years experience of working in a large process driven organization.· Experienced in formal project management techniques.· Excellent leadership and management skills.· Problem solving abilities – proven ability to meet challenging deadlines· Working in a large company preferably on a global scale· Technical expert on domain names; ICANN rules and regulations applicable to gTLD’s and ccTLD’s.· Registry rule and policy for the securing of domain names in various jurisdictions.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal confidently at with senior management.· Ability to deliver on commitments with tight deadlines.· Ability to work without supervision in and busy and a high pressure environment.· Strong project management expertise, taking ownership, establishing standards and managing processes, overcoming obstacles and challenges.· Strong focus on operational effectiveness and process improvement to provide consistent end-to-end service and high quality delivery.· Strong technical, analytical and business writing skills.· Post high school business or relevant IT related qualifications.· Ability to influence Senior Management· Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities· Motivated self starter· Goal orientated rather then task focused.http://jobview.monster.com/Web-Service-%E2%80%93-Operational-Strategy-Head-Job-Barcelona-CAT-ES-83255181.aspx
