Some of these are dedicated betting shops, but the majority are corners, where we have a betting counter inside a bar or slot arcade. At the heart of the operation is a small Trading team that plays a vital role in the development of the business. The main duties of the Trading Support Executive will include: Managing liabilities across the shop estate Responding to trading and odds-related queries from shop managers and supervisors Researching the local market to ensure that we maintain our competitive edge Creating distinct trading principles for our high-staking customers Producing performance reports for senior colleaguesThe successful candidate will be a fluent speaker of both English and Spanish, with some experience of working in the betting industry. Ideally, this will have been in a retail environment as our Spanish business is entirely shop-based, but relevant experience in telephone betting or online gaming will be considered. Although odds compilation skills are not required, a general understanding of odds is essential, along with a keen analytical eye.A passion for sport is imperative; in particular events that are popular with Spanish customers, such as La Liga, Champions League football, Euroleague basketball and tennis. Our shops are open from 9am until after midnight seven days a week, so a flexible approach is required.
