1 - Job Introduction

The requirement is for high calibre Software Developers and Team Leader who will play a significant role in delivering projects to our prestigious clients.​

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals to join a team of dynamic professionals and work on a variety of projects for our clients’ investment banking clients.​ Our client works with a broad set of technologies and requires technical specialists at a variety of levels.​

Our client is a leading Professional Services organisation working primarily with Investment Banks and Hedge Funds.​ A London based IT and Business Consultancy with offices around the world and a subsidiary in Barcelona.​

3 – Job Descriptions

Please note; for all positions, English language is essential, Spanish is an advantage.​

Position 1; Software Developer;

Our clients’ Developers will have experience of working with the following technologies:

Essential:

- Java, J2EE development experience with Eclipse

- Understanding of RDBMS – Oracle

- Application Server experience ideally JBoss and BEA

Highly desirable:

- JEE framework experience - desirable SEAM

- JSF, Facelets, Hibernate

- XML /​ XSL

You will be an excellent team player as well as self-starter when working on your own.​

Position 2; Senior Software Developer

In addition to the abovementioned skills, the Senior Developer will have a greater experience & a deeper knowledge of one or more of the core developer skills the he/​she will have experience of the full development life cycle, including waterfall, RUP and/​or Agile development processes (XP/​Scrum).​

The Senior Developer will demonstrate extensive experience of working on a large enterprise system development, have both client & server side experience, possess a thorough understanding of database connectivity and have some experience in the design of message based technical architectures.​

Position 3; Team Leader

Having sound development experience in a number of core technology areas the Team Leader will have a solid background in design.​ A Team Leader is expected to lead development initiatives ideally for large-scale systems.​ A Team Leader’s responsibilities will include establishing the development team and the infrastructure required to support development such as version control, automated testing & continuous integration.​ In addition the Team Leader will have excellent project estimation skills.​

The Team Leader role would suit an experienced individual with sound technical knowledge, team leading experience and 1st class client facing skills.​ The individual will have exceptional consulting skills: managing client’s expectations, preparing and delivering status reports to senior management.​ In addition Team Leaders are expected to engage in managing the performance of junior members of staff using our competency based Performance Management Model.​ This focuses on long term career development of individuals across a range of disciplines: Architecture & Design, Performance Tuning, Developing Knowledge Capital, Knowledge of Financial Markets, Interpersonal communications skills, Using behaviour based influencing skills, Leadership, to name a few.​
