My client is a fast growing Software Development company in Malaga, southern Spain, that uses JAVA predominately, combined with the Agile methodology. They develop online applications for major brands in the online entertainment industry that specialize in sports, racing, poker and casino. Their clients are located across Europe, North America and Asia. They were established in Malaga in March 2008 and since then have experienced a successful expansion.

To continue this expansion programme they are currently recruiting for Java Developers

The software developer will solve problems as well as design, develop and integrate them as part of an interactive team.

What You'll Be Doing…

*Gathering requirements with end users and other internal stakeholders.

*Designing, developing and testing existing/new features.

*Involved in each stage of the development life cycle.

*Working hard and having fun with team/technical leads and other fellow Java guru's developing the coolest, most complex, scalable solutions for our poker applications.

The Ideal Candidate…

*BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent desired

*5+ years of server-side Java/J2EE development experience, multi-threaded server development and NIO experience

*Strong Java skills and object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries, design patterns, JSP and servlets

*Experience in database design and SQL; DB2

*Significant development experience in a Unix/Linux environment

*Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills

*Sense of humour (YES that's a requirement)

*Demonstrated knowledge of version control tools (e.g. CVS, SVN)

*Ability to work both collaboratively and with limited supervision

*Ability to cope with fast-paced and constantly changing environments
