Senior solution designer (sap/ siebel)

Multinational company setting a Global Shared Services Center in Madrid for IT Solution Delivery to all over the world.

The Senior Solution Designer is responsible, together with the rest of the design team, for delivering the applications/objectives through provision of expert technical advice and counsel in the design of major, complex software systems.

Accountable for the design of robust above market enterprise across functions solutions in response to a set of Business Requirements. Designs will meet agreed strategy/standards with appropriate documentation in place:

# Support functional experts in the capture of the business requirements (including processes, systems and data).

# Develop recommendations for the proposed solution, and produce a solution architecture for hardware and software components.

# Undertake analysis of technology options and associated costs, conduct fit-gap analysis, and proof of concepts for new business systems solutions, as appropriate.

# Establish high level costing for input into business case and project initiation.

# Provide quality assurance and review of project architecture implementation during the project (design, build, implementation).

# Responsible for sign-off of functional specifications, technical specifications, unit test and handover to support

# Validate and analyse requirement, assess impact and propose solution to the, Operation Regional Standards Council (ORSC) and Change Advisory Board to support client business processes

# Act in a consultation capacity for the business during the compilation of the Business Requirements (providing systems expertise)

# Advice and guidance on project estimates, technical specifications, unit test planning, UAT preparation and Go Live activities

# Plan, coordinate and facilitate business process and system requirements at the request of the business

# Participation in Focus Groups (process owners) as appropriate .

# For templated solutions, conduct and document fit/gap and risk assessment comparing new system requirements to a core global/regional template. Consult with IT Services Design Authority as appropriate

# Ensure that the fit/gap and risk assessment are appropriately reviewed and approved by Design Authority

# Design and document relevant above market solutions to meet identified system gaps.

# Use of designated System Development Life-Cycle methodologies to define and document system processes. Design and capture in relevant programme tools (SAP Solution Manager) in accordance with toolkit guidelines.

# Ensure that the proposed functional and technical design/specifications are appropriately reviewed and approved. For existing solutions sign-off must be sought from IT Services Design Authority

# Support IT Services Change Advisory Board processes by acting as the subject matter expert and the point of reference for design changes

# Compilation of documentation related to system handover to support

Further role is responsible for providing support to the Design Manager in the day-to-day management of the technical design for current projects within its tower. The role has joint accountability, together with the other Solution Designers for the quality of the functional requirements and accountable, together with the Global Shared Development IT Services, for ensuring the delivery of a robust technical solution in response to the business requirements.

Requisitos At least 7 years progressive IT experience:

# Operations - One of the following areas: SAP R3 suite, SAP HR, SAP APO, SRM, Finance, Treasury.

or

# Marketing - Sales process/Trade Marketing/CRM. One of the following areas: Siebel, Swift, CRM, SAP R3 - SD.

or

# Cross-Functional. Integration/Database/Business Information - Two or more of the following areas: Oracle, SAP Portal, Integration, Hand-held, Skyway, Domino, SAP BW.

# Business requirements analysis and workshop facilitation skills.

# Strong application design experience and knowledge in relevant business processes e.g. supply chain, finance etc,

# Solid knowledge about core design elements & principles.

# Strong business process expertise.
