Senior Threat Researcher - Munich, Germany €45,000 - €55,000 + PackageAs a Senior Researcher you will be tasked with identifying what security products will need to look like 3 years from now by researching what:* Cybercriminals are working on today (Underground and Malware research)* How the users / victims are using the web (Social Networks, Gaming, etc)* What technologies are available now and in the future (e.g. Mobile OS, HTML5, rise of MacOS)The FTR researcher is responsible for researching malware threats, emerging technology and new user behaviour in order to understand the current threat landscape and predict what the threat landscape will be 3-5 years down the road based on changes in threat, technology and user behaviour.The FTR researcher is also responsible for researching local matters - such as laws and policies directly affecting IT security, or unique user behaviours in certain countries. They will be expected to interface with government agencies, ISPs, CERTs, universities and other research groups for research and knowledge sharing.This position requires the researcher to attend external conferences, either as an attendee or as a speaker. Candidate must be willing to travel regularly for meetings and conferences.* Must possess a Bachelor's degree or Higher* In-depth knowledge of the current Threat Landscape* In-depth knowledge in threat detection and mitigation technologies* Strong understanding of OS, network and hardware concepts* Strong background in Malware, Technology, Mobile and/or Social research* Research oriented mindset* Fast learner* Able to work in a multi-cultural group* Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised* Very good communication skills* Must be fluent in EnglishRandstad Technologies Ltd is a leading specialist recruitment business for the IT industry.
