Senior Internal Auditor - Barcelona

Austin Andrew are currently recruiting for an major international corporation based in Barcelona. Listed on the NYSE, they are the market leaders in their sector and are growing massively across Europe and South East Asia.

You would support the Senior Management and help to develop the Group Audit Function, ensuring a professional and value adding service is provided to the Board, Audit Committee and Senior Management. The role includes promoting the profile of Internal Audit through the sharing of best practice and working closely with Senior Managers from Global, Regional and Country management teams.

Other responsibilities include assisting the management with long term strategic plan for Internal Audit in conjunction with senior management and the Internal Audit outsource providers. Also produce the annual "Area" and "Functional" audit plan focusing on key business risks; cyclical coverage of key controls; selected compliance audits, self assessments and follow up audits.

The ideal candidate will have strong internal audit experience, be confident and ambitious. You would also be prepared to travel internationally – 60%. International language skills would be advantageous, especially Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, and Dutch.
