GE is imagination at work Posted Position Title: Market Intelligence Associate GE Spain & Portugal Career Level: Experienced FunctionMarketing Function Segment: Research and Analytics Location: Spain City: Madrid Postal Code: 28046 Relocation AssistanceNo Role Summary/Purpose:Responsible for developing and managing the business intelligence efforts for Iberia by leading market and competitive research and analysis, white space identification and assessment of business opportunities. Essential Responsibilities•Responsible for market research, market analytics and competitor intelligence, to support GE’s understanding, identification and assessment of cross-business opportunities within the market place (white space or existing not served). •Support the management in identifying and making effective decision on the key marketing challenges for the business through the development and application of insightful and objective competitive and business analysis. •Lead market research projects (“Voice of Customer” – VOC/need based segmentation/Gold Standard Marketing) that are developed and implemented to support commercial decision making on products and/or strategies •Develop and maintain short to medium/long-term forecasts of marketing, franchise and products which allow development and investment options to be considered by senior management •Participate actively in the strategic planning processes by contributing with new ideas and opportunities assessment to support GE’s growth in Iberia and drive Innovation •Be a key contributor and influencer within the business marketing teams to support business intelligence efforts and other key initiatives, leading/coordinating the Iberian Marketing Council •Build strategic and tactical marketing capability within Global Growth and Operations by creating processes and operating mechanisms to support the Iberia CEO´s decision making around Growth. Qualifications/Requirements:•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Statistics/Economics or equivalent •5+ years’ experience in market research, business intelligence or business analysis in country •Strong analytical and statistical skills - ability to interpret large amounts of information, e.g. from studies, scientific papers, financial reports and in-depth market research studies •Excellent forecasting capabilities and ability to exploit a range of commercial evaluation techniques •Strong ability to utilize and display aggregated and evaluated data by applying appropriate IT tools (xls/macros, access, ppt, sps) •Objective approach on commercial issues – able to balance risk and opportunities and highlight objectively in analysis •Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills - able to work effectively internally and externally with all levels of leadership •Strong communication and presentation skills – clearly and concisely present analysis •Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines •Outstanding teamwork - able to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams •Adaptable/flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or ambiguous situations •Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment •Excellent spoken and written English + Spanish. Portuguese fluency a plus. •Attentive to detail and very organized •Ability to self-motivate and work semi-autonomously •All candidates must have unrestricted work authorization in the region into which they apply.
