Inside Presales Consultant (French Speaking) Based in Barcelona

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Presales Expert will work on Presales and Business Development activities for the identified Industries and SAP solutions in the French Market. He/she will also develop assets for other market units within the EMEA region. The candidate must have the ability to support customer engagement sales cycles, by understanding customer's business requirements and promoting the value proposition of SAP solutions to meet this requirements and deliver benefits to the customer. As a Solution Advisor for a specified industry/opportunity the candidate must define and execute market oriented solution strategies in order to create business opportunities and increase revenue (licence and possibly services). SAP's Presales Specialists are not only technical presales professionals but also business experts - in various daily situations they communicate with the Clients as IT-competent business advisors, advising them how to improve their core business with professional IT solutions from SAP and other suppliers.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

* Identify, understand and define customer needs, objectives and business requirements, design a solution that can best meet the Client's requirements

* Develop presentation material and demonstration scenarios for sales presentations which show the business benefits (value) of implementing the appropriate SAP solution

* Build a strong working relationship with both the prospect, SAP Partners and the SAP Account Team

* Support prioritized sales cycles, helping with strategy, competitive positioning, demonstrations and presentations

* Actively support the sales teams in promoting and identifying solutions, articulating functional fit and completeness, responding bid cycles, to the customer requests for information and information to tender

* Contribute to pipeline and revenue increase, through participation and coordination of demand generation activities, including webinars

* Possess strong sense of teamwork, integrity, self motivation, positive attitude, and works to solve problems

* Stay up to date with new trends within SAP, our competitors, our partners and the IT industry as a whole

* Attend industry seminars and events to raise profile of SAP and maintain own up to date knowledge of industry

WORK EXPERIENCE

* 2+ years of experience in a consultant role (functional or technical) with a large, multinational software/technology organization

* 1+ years of experience in sales related activities (sales support, presentation, product demonstration, request for proposal, end user training) ideally within an Inside Sales organisation

* Customer and sales focus with the ability to influence prospects

* Experience with SAP projects & knowledge of the SAP solution portfolio in presales, consulting or implementation roles

* Native French and English at advanced level

* Good knowledge of the European software market

* Understanding of sales cycle, customer motives and buying criteria

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Logistics or Business Degree (MBA preferred)

* Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of presenting to group at all levels (to technical & non-technical audience), to successfully interact witt SAP stakeholders and customers

* Strong analytical, problem solving and process and solution oriented abilities

* Ability to partner across various functional groups including account executives, professional services, product development, marketing and strategic partners

* Ability to work independently as well as in a complex matrix environment with virtual teams of high-level professionals

* Willingness to take responsibility and drive engagements
