About the Job
Our client, a leading international banking group with operations in private, retail, commercial and investment banking is increasing its audit presence in Madrid.​ They are looking to hire an IT Audit Senior who will join a global team responsible for planning and completing an interesting range of audit assignments.​
Working alongside a team of professional and experienced IT auditors you will execute audit assignments in accordance with the audit plan, company policy, procedures and quality standards.​ As a Senior you will work under the guidance of an Audit Manager in the first months before moving on to lead audits yourself.​ There are a wide range of technologies used by the group and you can expect to gain exposure to some, if not all, of the following: - Oracle, SQL, DB2, Windows, AS/​400, Unix, Mainframe and RACF, Networks, firewalls and Internet infrastructure.​
The ideal candidate will be CISA qualified with experience in IT auditing and a good understanding of the controls, regulatory and risk issues relating to information technology within a complex multi-site environment.​ Specialist knowledge of either cryptography or auditing business processes within a Financial Services environment would be preferred.​ Ideally you will be familiar with the risks associated with one or more of the following IT processes:- application development, change management, incident management, software assets, IT Risk, IT security and data protection.​
Due to the global nature of the business you can expect to travel in Europe for approximately 70%​ of the time.​ The business language is English and you will therefore need to be fluent in both Spanish and English.​ Typically you can expect to spend two to three years as a Senior IT Auditor before progressing to a managerial role, either within audit or a related discipline.​
