General Manager Traveltaiment

Summary of Responsibilities:

Porpuse:

The head and manage Traveltaiment Spain paying particular attention to the overall sales and business development function of the operation, for which the job-holder has a shared responsibility for both its operation and strategy.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

- P&L ownership and monitoring of Traveltainment business activities

- Definition and execution of Traveltainment Commercial and Product Strategy

- Built and manage local Traveltainment organization

- Oversee Sales, Marketing and Communication activities of Traveltainment

- Oversee Project Management and local Product Delivery

- C-level negotiation with prospect and customers

- Negotiation with local business partners and customers

- Represent TT at industry events

- Partner Management of local IT partners

- Creation of business model with local partner and customers

Requirements:

Skills

- Proven track record in commercial or IT role in international company

- Travel Industry knowledge

- Excellent understanding of Spanish Leisure Travel Industry (Online Travel Agencies, Tour Operators)

- Leisure travel distribution product knowledge is a plus

- Personal Skills

- Fluent Spanish & English, German a plus

- Good business acumen

- IT & technology savvy

- People Management & Leadership skills

- Good communications skills

- Excellent negotiation skills

- Understanding of complex IT solution and latest technology trends for e-commerce and distribution solutions

- HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, PHP, MySQL, XSLT, XML,SOAP

- Oracle, Apache, Linux, Redhat, Windows 2000,

- Experience of enterprise search advantageous

- Knowledge of Agile development methodology is an advantage

- Expertise in e-commerce products

Relevant Job Experience:

Education

- University degree (business administration) a plus

- MBA is a plus

- > 5-10 y experience in commercial / business development role

- > 5y experience in travel industry company

- > 5y experience in selling complex IT solution

- Experience in people management

- Technical & programming background is a plus
