Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Field Service Representative will: - Prepare and review all the assignments to coordinate all the needs (parts, tooling, manpower etc.); - Execute hands-on job on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication; - Provide customers with technical direction and support on GE Packaged products or other non-GE products, including hands on maintenance / operation and repair of these products; - Complete standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements; - Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality; - Monitor site safety during project execution. Qualifications/Requirements: - Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters; - Additional qualifications include previous millwright experience with high speed rotating equipment, process plant construction and heavy rigging; - The position requires technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams, dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment; - Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required; - Technical/University degree or qualifying experience. Desired CharacteristicsAdditional working knowledge of the below also a plus: - Electrical circuitry, both AC & DC; - Experience with high voltage controls, protective systems and calibration of IO devices desired; Specifically, Woodward Governor Controls, Bailey Controls, GE Fanuc, GE Mark III, IV, V or VI. Previous experience with controls programming a plus; - Pipe fitting and tubing experience; - Previous experience working on GE LM equipment; - Experience on the workings of hydraulic equipment.
