Construction Supervisor (Wind projects) in Barcelona

RESPONSIBILITIES

* To support the installation team by identifying and solving incidents that may arise during the installation stages including troubleshooting’

* Implementation of installation directives (IDI's, ETS, MDD), supply specifications and, together with the design and installation departments, development of installation manuals and additional specifications for the different models’

* Design and/ or validation of the tools and equipment required for the transportation and installation of components in order to reduce installation costs;

* Cooperation with engineering companies and suppliers to optimise processes. Monitoring and validation of commissioned projects, participating in tests and trials and optimising times and costs;

* Approval of subcontracted or produced designs.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

* Technical engineering or higher, specialising in electro-mechanics;

* Training in safety and hygiene and equipment and tool ergonomics highly valued;

* Good knowledge of special transport (road and sea) and cranes.

KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE

* Minimum one year of experience in a design department, preferably in the wind power sector;

* Experience of the installation stages of a wind farm highly valued;

* Advanced experience of special transport and high capacity cranes.

 TECHNICAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCES

* Fluent level of English (oral and written);

* Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office;

* Familiar with the use of Solid Works, Ansys/ Design Space (finite elements);

* Capacity to confirm and validate calculations;

* Negotiating skills to defend technical solutions to suppliers.

 BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCES

* Availability to travel 20% of the time;

* Analytical skills and the ability to communicate;

* Open, orderly and transparent in all aspects of his/her work;

* Professional experience abroad is valued;

* Used to working at work peaks and under great pressure;
