Business Development Manager IT Channel / Value Added Reseller - Southern Europe
Location: Madrid

This position is responsible for assessing and developing new vertical market business opportunities within a designated territory. You work as a partner with the Country IT/VAR Sales Manager to increase the sales of our DYMO and CardScan brands by concentrating on the development of the Value Added Reseller / IT Distributor relationships within your region.
Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating and implementing effective account development strategies in order to win revenue opportunities with the VARs and other partners in vertical markets. Primary responsibilities include: demonstrating solutions, building relationships with key contacts within Resellers and End Users and identifying short and long-term revenue opportunities while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Understand the products, accounts, marketplace, business plan, objectives and business drivers, critical to success.

Drive sales through named territory accounts, and research and qualify new business opportunities in the defined market segments while successfully executing account plans consistent with the IT/VAR sales team selling process.

Originate and secure agreements to achieve financial objectives specific to new clients and projects, managing the full corporate sales cycle - from initial unqualified enquiry, quotation, evaluation and support issues, commercials, price negotiation and closure. Increase the conversion rate of enquiries/ closed sales

Develop business relationships at all levels, across all departments in order to earn the status of a "Trusted Advisor" in the eyes of the account

Provide info/consumer & competitor insights for new product development

Manage to a P&L.

Work with the assigned marketing support team to implement marketing plans (product promotions, lead programs etc)

Create demand for DYMO solutions, participate in relevant Trade shows for the defined market segments, advocate solutions to end users, software editors, VAR levels.

Select and deliver Vertical focused trade shows within your country and across EMEA where needed.

Accurately forecast account sales and maintain pipeline opportunity reports.
Other Responsibilities

Manage projects, inventories.

Work with IT/VAR EMEA Sales Manager, RGBU lead to develop, implement, and review all quarterly business plans.

Make recommendations for growing assigned territory, named accounts, and or market segments.

Evangelize technology solutions.

Key Qualities required

Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field

3+ years of sales experience and/or Field Marketing in the reseller / software integrator markets.

Strong time management skills

Strong presentation, leadership, and communication skills

Strong oral and written communication skills – local language and English

Willing to travel across EMEA

Work as part of a cross country EMEA team

Computer proficency in Microsoft Applications
