Accountant with French in BARCELONA

TITLE: Accountant

2.​ POSITION PURPOSE

Accountant required to join a small finance team based in the European Finance Shared Service Centre in Barcelona.​ The successful candidate will be responsible for the statutory and internal accounting requirements for ACS companies based in the following countries:

· France

· Malta

· Ireland

3.​ PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare the monthly P&L, balance sheet and related reports for submission to the US parent company in accordance with strict reporting deadlines.​

- Prepare the statutory annual accounts and liaise with external auditors

- Provide support to operations

- Maintain the general ledger

- Liaising with the tax department for VAT and tax returns

- Ad-hoc reports as required.​

4.​ KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

- 3 years minimum of accounting experience required.​

- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.​

- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team

- Good oral and written communication skills in English & French essential.​

- Knowledge of French GAAP would be considered an advantage.​
